The yellow pages hold no hope,
of seeing who I am,
I'm like a pool, crystal clear
I'm slipping through your hand.
I'm whispering into your ear,
my gifts like rain descend,
but your features veiled by a frown
my love you condescend.
Foolishly your thoughts elope,
they cannot leap the Rhine,
looking out across the water,
your eyes out on the line...
follow me child, follow me into this strange design,
let my wings enfold your heart, your happiness is mine.

Traces of me
A sticky note, a paper boat, a letter to a friend,
a painted room, a seed in bloom, a tear that's on the mend,
a keyboard buried deep beneath a veil of fingerprints
a line of footprints in the snow are leaving subtle hints
A hook and line, long lost inside the belly of a fish,
a dandelion whispers thanks to a windblown wish,
a strand of hair caught in a bush is floating in the breeze,
small branches broken here and there within collective trees,
the world turns beneath the sun, and covers half her face,
my existence lost within may seem to leave no trace,
but like a leaf taped to a tree, or silent tear drops in the sea,
everything I've touched in passing bears a trace of me.

Slow Fade
Come to me O night of sorrow,
fall upon mine eyes,
find me neath the weeping willow,
never gain to rise.
The bleeding hearts have tangled me,
I lay my spinning head,
I'm leaning closely into thee,
shy roses are my bed.
Soft petals of deep crimson,
glow in the dreamy silver light
a wreath of thorns beneath the moon,
bleed into the inky night.
All things bright and beautiful,
become old and often times decade,
but even for the setting sun,
it's a slow fade.
Shadows wrap me in their arms,
death holds out her gentle hand,
I float into the sleepy stillness
fading from this crippled land.
fall upon mine eyes,
find me neath the weeping willow,
never gain to rise.
The bleeding hearts have tangled me,
I lay my spinning head,
I'm leaning closely into thee,
shy roses are my bed.
Soft petals of deep crimson,
glow in the dreamy silver light
a wreath of thorns beneath the moon,
bleed into the inky night.
All things bright and beautiful,

but even for the setting sun,
it's a slow fade.
Shadows wrap me in their arms,
death holds out her gentle hand,
I float into the sleepy stillness
fading from this crippled land.

Lost Horizon
My feet tread ground where God has bled,
my heart bares guilt unspoken,
a cross, a tree, to hang the dead,
the guiltless and the broken.
I carved my path and set my stride,
but you were not there by my side,
no matter how I searched and cried
unveil my lost horizon.
The passage of my innocents
was blocked before I reached the day.
After years of reaching out,
you've left me here and gone away.
You bore my guilt and took my blame,
but even now I bare my shame
forgetting why I speak your name,
unveil my lost horizon.
Collective thoughts and promises,
a broken view of who I am,
forget me if I turn not back,
I cannot recall from whence I came.
When you are not within my sight,
I cannot decipher wrong from right,
so search me out and shed some light,
unveil my lost horizon.
my heart bares guilt unspoken,
a cross, a tree, to hang the dead,
the guiltless and the broken.
I carved my path and set my stride,
but you were not there by my side,
no matter how I searched and cried
unveil my lost horizon.
The passage of my innocents

Wings to fly
Feel the music deep within,
break your heart with haunting cry,
than lift you higher than the sun,
and give your soul the wings to fly.
The rise and fall, your grasping breath,
she throws herself with all her might,
against the walls within your chest,
until you can no longer fight.
The tears that well up in your eyes,
when your heart beats like a drum,
the longing to break for the skies,
as you feel the gentle thrum.
You feel the music deep within,
break your heart with haunting cry,
than lift you higher than the sun
and give your soul the wings to fly.
break your heart with haunting cry,
than lift you higher than the sun,
and give your soul the wings to fly.
The rise and fall, your grasping breath,
she throws herself with all her might,
against the walls within your chest,
until you can no longer fight.
The tears that well up in your eyes,
when your heart beats like a drum,
the longing to break for the skies,
as you feel the gentle thrum.
You feel the music deep within,
break your heart with haunting cry,
than lift you higher than the sun
and give your soul the wings to fly.

A Little Life Poetry
Hairs clean, clothes washed, teeth brushed, life rushed,
makeup on, lunch gone, grab some bread, gotta run,
tied my shoes all neat and then
found a hole in my sock again.
Three big sweaters, and a coat,
one long scarf around your throat
sweat pants, snow pants, toque and mitts,
socks and boots, and then it hits,
off comes the entire costume
you’ve got to make it to the washroom.
Toaster, toaster, why do you,
Burn my toast thus, through and through,
I didn’t say to burn, or fry,
So maybe bagel’s just too high.
The nose is a rebellious beast,
From which flows a gruesome feast,
For someone who thinks it’s yummy,
When it plops down in their tummy.
When you are yelling at your sister,
and on your tongue there sit’s a blister,
and you are shouting angrily,
and you’re so mad you cannot see,
you clamp your teeth shut with a clatter,
on your tongue and it gets fatter,
and now your blister does not matter.
I’m rubbing paint off of my skin,
and scratching drips off of my chin,
I think my life is interesting,
I wish I had a song to sing.
makeup on, lunch gone, grab some bread, gotta run,
tied my shoes all neat and then
found a hole in my sock again.

Memories can't hold us together
My heart is sinking like the sun below the sea,
a green light flashes and it's gone,
a little glass of reassurance please, to help me breathe,
it shouldn't take this long.
I have a pale, but the water is passed my knees,
cause I've been bailing alone,
I'm caving in, this ship has gone out from under me,
I'm wasted skin and bone.
Memories can't hold us together,
I've been pushing and pulling and breaking for you,
I thought we'd survive any weather,
but though we're still here, I'm not dragging you through, anymore.
We need to build off each other
some common interest would serve as the glue,
but though we're tearing apart one another,
I'd still run through the fire for you.
My heart is sinking like the sun below the sea,
a green light flashes and it's gone,
a little glass of reassurance please, to help me breathe,
it really shouldn't have taken this long.
a green light flashes and it's gone,
a little glass of reassurance please, to help me breathe,
it shouldn't take this long.
I have a pale, but the water is passed my knees,
